Opening Day of South by Southwest

	After planning for several weeks, the day had come. Hit the Omlette Tree for breakfast, then meet Steve at his work. Head over to Emos to see Tony, catch some bands, the go to the Texas History Museum. As usual, it was going as I suspected. The golden child was being a pain in the ass and ended up bailing. Which is probably for the best. We met Tony up at Emos, his band was playing around 12:30. Patty showed up along with some friends from Tony and Steve's work. We had a great time, that lie'n Tony told us there was free beer :) Never found it, but we did have a good time. The band was good, we never did get a CD though. After that we went over to another place that was playing some sets, then after that went to a spot back behind Emos. Two cool bands played back there. It was starting to get late so we headed down to THE Shady Grove. This is my absolute favorite eatery. Too bad it's going to be tarnished friday, but hey what can you do. One new thing to the list I had was a Shady Thang margarita, highly recommended! As always, remove the /thumbs from the URL to get the 8x10
	This was hilarious, I had to get a pic of it. It was on a beam holding up the room at the place behind Emos. We really wanted to see more bands make a day out of it, but we needed to get home.
