Frank hits the lake
|
Well it is starting to get people asking, "Why in the heck is Fank
here...Again? The first few times we could play it off but the last
one was a little tough. The story soon broke that we were involved
in some real estate dealings and the cat was outta the bag.
We headed out on the Das Deck for a day up in Cow Creek cove.
Surprisingly the cove wasn't all the bad. Not too many Houstonites,
I guess the weather scared them off. They must not have wanted to get
their Escalades all dirty and rain spotted.
With the new stereo in Das Deck we had some good tunes kickin. Frank
made it even better by angling the speakers directly at us, it made the
sound much louder, who'da guessed :) It made for a really great amphitheater
effect off the cove walls. It also managed to drive away a boat or two.
Always a plus!
We hung out in the cove for a while then headed back out. We cruised up
to the Cypress Grove and found some very disturbing news. The Grove was
surveyed off for sale :( Which means some Houstonite will probably put
a nice McMansion crap house right in front of it and chop down all the trees.
I swear, this really pissed me off to no end. How people can sell off such
beautiful property all in the name of buying a new SUV or crappy house in an
over priced subdivision. People just can't seem to grasp that you can't get
more land. It's fixed. And once it's divided up and sold off it's gone. You
can't get that 100 acre farm back that your great grandparents worked their
asses off to get all to have it sold several generations down the line by some
snot nosed offspring so he can buy a new crappy 40ft Baja or a condo downtown.
But I digress.
Later that after leaving the Cypress Grove we headed home. We came across
some wild turkey and then stopped in a cove to get rid of some beer. Frank
ended up finding the Baptist terrorist training camp complete with rope ladders
and zip lines. I guess it's just a obstacle course, but you never know.
To top off the weekend we came across a REAL nice 80's Vette. It was pretty damn
cheesy. Jason Perry special by far.
