4th of July
|
This is one of those blessings in disguise, well not for most though.
It rained very hard for several days leading up to the 4th. Heading up
to Lake Travis from San Antonio we caught several video clips of the high
water. One clip was that of a car flipped upside down over in the dominion.
The morning was a dreary one, the clouds has started to slowly roll out. We
got a call that morning to go help move furniture out of a house that was close
to flooding. It didn't seem like it but the water was moving pretty fast. In
about 30 mins to an hour the water had risen 4 inches.
After getting all the furniture moved out we set sail in the boat. We headed
over to what is now known as Waterfall cove. This was one of the most beautiful
sites on the lake I have ever seen. It was breath-taking. We managed to get
several pictures of us at the waterfall. I my only regret is that I didn't have
a better camera. The photos are not that clear. Joe supposedly has some on
a disk of the waterfall.
