Memorial Day Weekend
|
It was a pretty big weekend Memorial Day. We had to be up and atom
before our usual departure in order to catch the sailboats. We
it out to the lake around 12ish. Das Deck went over to the wall
down past Calcashu point. There we hung out and let the dogs run around.
Gunny and Killer T had a good time wondering. While the rock cliff
we were on was pretty narrow, Gunny and Killer had no problems climbing
around like little mountain goats.
The first boats to round contained a really neat looking old wooden sail
boat. He had three large masts with burgandy sails. For such a massive
boat, he was moving on pretty quickly. Luckily for all the boats the
wind was blowing good. Some of the years have been brutal, no wind and
scorching hot.
We got bored sitting against the rocks so we decided to start taking
some pics of the dogs. Steve was looking quite masculine holding T,
if only he had a bottle of Arizona Ice Tea it would have been perfect.
Soon we departed and headed towards Cody park when more people started
showing up. There was quite a crew of folks over there at the park,
including little Michaels girlfriend :). Toby met up with the other dogs
and they had a good time swimming and playing around. Killer took a bit
to get used to the new dogs but he relaxed after a bit and was trying to
keep up with the big dogs as best he could. He was swimming out to fetch
sticks in no time.
Amber Deaton took one of her first drives in the family car so Liz documented
it. Most of the guys were down in Port Aransas in the new fishing boat, so it
was mostly the Cacklin Hens at the park. Matt showed up with his daughter on
the jetski. I later took Gunny out on the ski for a ride. It has been a while
since we rode around. He still loves it, although he is quite bigger now and
it's not so easy to keep a hold of him on the ski now.
After a while we decided to shove off and do some trolling. Joe tagged along.
We had a really great sunset that day. It was another great day Lake Livin.
As usual, if you want a large pic take the /thumbs out of the URL.
